About Entrepreneurship Unit 

 

The Entrepreneurship Unit is a sub-entity responsible with diversifying sources of income and coordinating its activities with the relevant authorities at the university. The Entrepreneurship Unit is linked to the College Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs and Development. He is assisted by a coordinator from the Female Section, who supports the Vice Dean for Female Student Affairs, and they are assigned by the Dean of the College based on the nomination of the relevant College Vice Dean.

 The plan aims to present the vision, mission and goals of the committee that stems from the vision, mission and goals of University of Bisha, in pursuit of the vision, mission and goals of the college. Also, through this plan, the executive procedures of the committee are presented during the academic year 1441-1442 AH.

Developing creative and entrepreneurial thinking to contribute in the development of the knowledge economy in the Kingdom and to contribute to national transformation programs and the Kingdom's 2030 vision.

The Unit Goals

 

The Entrepreneurship Committee aims to:

  • Encourage students to be entrepreneurial and build small projects.
  • Contribute in preparing a distinguished generation of entrepreneurs.
  • Enhance the principle of community partnership by supporting projects.
  • Increase the awareness of the importance of a culture of intellectual property protection.
  • Find job opportunities for college graduates to establish small projects within the university.
  • Provide opportunities for students to highlight their talents through innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Unit Tasks

 

  • Preparing comprehensive models based on technical aspects and studies for the economic feasibility of small entrepreneurial projects and submitting them to the university.  

  •  Providing courses and workshops to train students in the fields of entrepreneurship.

  • Creating educational opportunities and training programs for community members and college employees.

  •  Supporting innovative and creative ideas and submitting them to the labor market.

  • Establishing local and international partnerships with prestigious central and technical institutions and benefiting from them.

  • Deepening the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • Developing the spirit of cooperation among students through teamwork.

  • Promote research activities that rely on advanced methods.

  • Implementing activities, events, awareness programs, and periodic announcements in the fields of innovation.

The Strategic Plan Unit 

 

1) Propose the vision, mission, and goals of the unit.

2) Set the operational plan for the unit’s work during the academic year.

3) Asses the training needs of the beneficiaries.

4) Provide the necessary equipment to hold courses and workshops for the trainees.

5) Form a work team carefully selected from students and faculty members.

6) Create specialized programs such as (a center for business services for small and medium enterprises, a center for business incubators, a center for innovation, and a center for intellectual property).

7) Communicate with the concerned centers to exchange experiences.

8) Pay attention to the distinguished talents of students and direct them.

9) Follow up the implementation of the plan proposed and write reports about the unit's activities.

10) Collect reports and document, documenting them, arranging them, classifying them, and keeping them electronically and on paper.
